teamuncool fashion likes: Burberry holographic models, Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2011 collection

Is this the future of catwalk shows? On Wednesday night British label Burberry held a fashion show with holographic models for it's Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2011 collection - directed, conceptualized and executed by Christopher Bailey:

This could well be the beginning of an exciting new era in the fusion of the technology and fashion. The holographic images have been combined with live models to create a surreal and absolutely magical runway experience. And when you watch the video below, the holograms are so good its hard to tell where the live models end and the digital ones begin. Even the outfits change when the model's walk into each other. Welcome to the next level.

Watch the video of holographic modeling set to Dusty Springfield's 'You Don't Own Me' below and try to get your head around the use of lighting and holograms:

Team Uncool Making of: Arch Magazine, June Issue.

One of my favorites. Lets see if they select it for the final editorial.

Here is a little sneak peak into my new fashion editorial for Arch Magazine, Melrose Arch in Johannesburgs magazine. The team was amazing and we had a fun day in a maze with model Kirsty from Star who is ever friendly, professional and down right amazing to shoot.

With the team of Jenny Andrew as stylist and Liz van der Merwe on Hair and make-up the day went well and even with rain pouring down we managed to get a good 8 - 10 pages of fashion editorial. Themed around warm woolen wear and the maze in the back of the Melrose arch hotel, mystery was hopefully created.

Team Uncool Fashion Loves: Suzaan Heyns x Brett Rubin + Shop Opening Johannesburg

Tonight I attended the opening of the prolific Johannesburg based designer Suzaan Heyns's new shope opening in Melville, Johannesburg. Beautifully designed clothing combined with tasteful design mixed with a few skull sculptures here and there and you cant go wrong.

I was also amazed at the epic campaign that she recently shot for her A/W 2011 'Die Vorm' range. Her ongoing collaboration with Johannesburg based fashion photographer Brett Rubin has also shown its stripes in their great new campaign images.

Furthermore, for this event I collaborated with South African fashion website iFashion and the images shot as well a small story will be featured on their site shortly.

Enjoy and well done!

TeamUncool Fashion Likes: Melissa's shoes x Black Coffee 2011

While shooting backstage at SA Fashion Week last weekend, I came across some delicious (Literally, they where flavored) footware from Melissa's shoes . Great brand and I liked the doll with miniature shoe campaign.

They are also partnered with Vivienne Westwood which makes them even cooler.

Nice.
